my neocities website has been uploaded
it took me 22 days to create this site on visual studio code before uploading it to the web (neocities) because i am a "don't tell them your plans, show them your results" type of person. i coded pretty much everything by hand, making a website was easier than i thought it would be (well it's obviously because i have an experience with html and css. that's why it's easier for me lol. but i don't know much about javascript yet.. ;-;). the process of making this website was worth it, i'm proud of what i created. i like to thank psychcool (a youtuber that sadly no longer exists) for introducing me to the personal web. i'm so happy that i decided to make a website myself, however the old web and old computers have been my special interest back then and this whole indieweb movement awaken my dormant special interest. instagram removing the feature in hashtags that lets you sort images by top and recent was my last straw which is horrible for small and niche creators (i believe they pretty much did this to push people to use reels). without the small web, i would have been in a darker place. i might miss instagram and all the cool kids i met across fandom spaces when i was a teenager from that hipster polaroid app, but at least i won't have to deal with the annoying mainstream web and their algorithm anymore. i still use tumblr sometimes however (ah yes.. teen nyxie's favorite app besides instagram. ok but i miss pre-tiktok internet). making a personal website was the best decision i've ever done in my life. i've created and i've learned a lot when making this site. everything in the process was worth it!!
anyways.... check out my website, nyxiezone.neocities.org. you can also click the "personal web" button on my nav of my blog to check out my website. feel free to leave a message on my guestbook!!
